Clemson football really misses Trevor Lawrence against Boston College.

Clemson is already playing without superstar quarterback Trevor Lawrence who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week. Now, they’ll need true freshman D.J. Uiagalalei to lead the biggest comeback the Tigers have faced since 2014.

Clemson is on upset alert as they trailed 21-7 to Boston College after a dramatic turn of events led to the Eagles extending their lead on a 97-yard scoop-and-score when it looked like Travis Etienne was about to tie the game up at 14.

In the words of Lee Corso, “Not so fast, my friend!”

At halftime, Clemson trails 28-13, marking the biggest deficit at Death Valley since Oct. 19, 2013, when Clemson lost to Florida State, 51-14.

This is unfamiliar ground for Dabo Swinney and Clemson who usually win comfortably so that when they only win by 26 against Syracuse, many in the media were treating it like a loss because they didn’t win by 45-plus points.

That’s just how well Clemson has played over the last few years when they’ve become the top program in college football.

Clemson has a 35-game winning streak in the regular season. The last loss was Oct. 2017.
