This week, Sunday Night Football presents a clash of NFC East teams. Let’s take a look at this FanDuel single game slate from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player picks for Sunday night’s game, let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Notable DFS Injuries

Cowboys: QB Andy Dalton, DOUBTFUL.

Eagles: T Jack Driscoll, CB Craig James, WR Alshon Jeffery, CB Cre’von LeBlanc, RB Miles Sanders, OUT.

Let’s shift our focus to the rules for the FanDuel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for Sunday Night Football!

MVP

Carson Wentz, QB $16,000

Yes, I know that the NFC East is awful. However, the reality is that the eventual winner of this division will host a playoff game. Having stated that, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has plenty of motivation to play well on Sunday night. I can only assume that Wentz can’t wait to face this terrible Cowboys defense.

How bad has this Cowboys defense been? Well, they are VERY bad. Let me provide some data to support my previous statement. Through seven games played this season, the Cowboys are 32nd in the NFL in average points allowed to opposing offenses. Yes, that’s correct the Boys are dead last in the NFL in average points allowed a game. So how many points are the Cowboys allowing a game? The answer is a whopping 34.7 points a game. My friends that is awful.

Now that we have established how bad of a defense the Eagles will be facing on Sunday night, let’s turn our attention to the Eagles signal caller’s recent play. In his last two games played, Wentz has accumulated a total of 58.18 FanDuel points. That is an average of 29.09 FanDuel points a game.

Flex Plays

Ezekiel Elliott, RB $15,000

Earlier today, the Dallas Cowboys listed quarterback Andy Dalton as doubtful for Sunday’s game. That means it is highly likely that the Dallas Cowboys will be starting seventh round rookie quarterback Ben DiNucci. Wow. How quickly things can change in professional football. The Cowboys also have had multiple injuries along the offensive line.

What will the Cowboys do on offense with a patchwork offensive line and a rookie quarterback at the helm Sunday night? You guessed it. Give the football to the best football player on the team. That player’s name is Ezekiel Elliott. Will Elliott be effective from a fantasy perspective versus the Eagles defense? That’s the million dollar question. Having stated that, I am going to roll with Elliott due to the fact I feel quite comfortable in the fact that Zeke is going to get a large amount of opportunities Sunday night. The Cowboys really don’t have much of a choice.

Additionally, I like the fact that Elliott is used as a receiver often in the Dallas offense. I have a strong belief that the Dallas rookie signal caller will check down to Elliott as a receiver consistently in this football game.

Travis Fulgham, WR $13,000

I mentioned earlier in this article that the Cowboys defense is historically bad. I am betting that Fulgham is going to benefit greatly from the Dallas Cowboys defense’s inability to stop the pass this week. It also should be noted that Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been looking Fulgham’s way quite often lately. In his last two games played, Fulgham has 11 receptions, 148 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Richard Rodgers, TE $8,500

For those readers that are not aware, Philadelphia tight end Zach Ertz was placed on injured reserve earlier this month. Ertz heading to IR opened up an opportunity for Richard Rodgers to play. So far, it appears that Rodgers is seizing his opportunity in a big way.

Last week, Rodgers was targeted by Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz eight times. Rodgers turned those eight targets into six receptions and 85 receiving yards. Rodgers will be facing a Dallas Cowboys defense that is 23rd in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the tight end position.

Next. NFL week 8 picks against the spread. dark

Additional flex plays I like not mentioned above: Greg Ward, WR $7,500, Jalen Reagor, WR $8,500.
