Dan Mullen embraces the dark side, wears Darth Vader mask at postgame presser (Video)

Dan Mullen is no more, as he has embraced the Dark Side to become Darth Mullen.

We will remember the Halloween Dan Mullen dressed up as Darth Vader in the postgame presser.

After seeing his Florida Gators get into a fight with the Missouri Tigers in the middle of a global pandemic, Mullen traded away his Cousin Eddie vibes for something more sinister. He went from cheering on the crowd like a WWE superstar into the evilest thing from a galaxy far, far away. By dressing up as Darth Vader before speaking with the media, we know he’s pure evil at this point.

Let’s face it. There is nothing normal about 2020, so we must embrace the weirdness as much as Mullen did the Dark Side. Would you have been shocked if Mullen shocked a reporter through Zoom with sparks flying out of his hands? No. What about him silencing the critics with a strong grip of the throat remotely? We’ve seen it before in cinema, so why wouldn’t it happen in real life?

Weird things happen in Florida because it’s Florida. It was underwater for a reason before. It’s rivalry week, so I don’t really care about pleasantries. If I have to stop listening to Tom Petty and Less Than Jake for a week, I will do that. If I must refrain from watching any George Lucas’ films, I will find another medium to entertain myself. I will not give in and become an evil cyborg, dammit!

Though he didn’t chop off Eliah Drinkwitz’s hand in Gainesville after being his father, Darth Mullen needs to get ready for the Battle of Duval that’s about to go down next weekend. Though it won’t be on the forest moon of Endor, there really is no place on Planet Earth like Jacksonville, Florida. If you’ve been there, you understand. If you have not, then I really cannot help you and your soul.
