Following the midweek European games, the Premier League season returns. On Saturday, Liverpool play West Ham at Anfield. The Reds are tied for first through six games. While the Hammers are in the middle of the table.

Liverpool defeated Sheffield United last weekend and then defeated Midtjylland in the Champions League on Wednesday. Jurgen Klopp’s team are chasing their second straight title and will have to continue their winning streak if they are going to remain at the top of the table. The problem for Liverpool this season has been injuries and coronavirus positive tests. Injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Thiago have weakened Liverpool’s depth in the middle of the field. Despite the loss of two of their most talented players, the Reds have barely skipped a beat. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been brilliant to start the season. The duo has combined for 10 Premier League goals and will be depended on for more against West Ham. If either Salah or Mane scores on Saturday, there is a good chance that Liverpool leave Anfield with three points.

West Ham started the season with two losses, followed by two wins and now two draws. The Hammers surprisingly held Tottenham and Manchester City in their last two games. David Moyes’ team will try to steal a point from a much bigger club for the third straight game. Michail Antonio scored his third goal of the season against City. Antonio is tied with Jarrod Bowen for the team lead in goals. The two players have combined to score half of West Ham’s goals this season and will be key players on Saturday.
