Ohio State is heading to Penn State after the programs had drastically different starts to the season. Here’s how to bet and how you can watch.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked No. 3 in the nation and face the first real test of the season Halloween night on the road against Penn State. The Buckeyes still do enter as double-digit favorites after the Nittany Lions lost last week in a controversial finish on the road against Indiana.
Calls to fire James Franklin ensued and the head coach has a shot this week to prove the program is just fine. But Ohio State is still a favorite to reach the College Football Playoff and that appears to be likely as long as Justin Fields continues to play like a top NFL prospect.

Penn State fans may think this spread is too high after their team scored 35 against Indiana. The difference here is the Buckeyes are one of the top teams in college football and absolutely steamrolled Nebraska last week. Ohio State finished with 52 points on a day when Justin Fields only had to throw 21 passes. Penn State is not a top contender even in the Big Ten and the Buckeyes should easily cover.
Let’s live a little and take the over in this one. Penn State could not stop the Indiana offense and that is a bad sign for this matchup. Ohio State took out the starters late last week and still scored a touchdown. Expect something around a 49-24 or 42-27 finish. The Nittany Lions aren’t going to lay down. However, the Buckeyes will be in control of this one throughout. A garbage time score will help the final box score for the home team.
