Yannick Ngakoue was already moved as the biggest headline of the trade deadline. Harris won’t be as monumental of a name on the market, but he does bring value as a rangy safety.

Signing the franchise tender this offseason to remain under the Purple Reign, Harris likely is destined to leave in free agency at the end of the season. With the Vikings defense, he’s collected 39 tackles and two pass deflections in coverage. Great in deep sets, Harris has shown his ability to create turnovers, finishing 2019 with seven interceptions.

The Raiders, Browns and Colts both need a third safety to stay in the race for their respective divisions. If desperate enough, Minnesota could up the price to an early mid-round selection and see if they can grab a better position for Day 2. At worse, a fifth-round pick or better at least gives Minnesota something to work with.
