Spencer Rattler delivered one of the most savage quotes you will ever hear
Spencer Rattler felt like destroying something beautiful on Saturday night in Lubbock.
While his Oklahoma Sooners are not College Football Playoff bound, they took their No. 24 ranking into Jerry Jones AT&T Stadium and demolished the Texas Tech Red Raiders. It was a win to let us know Oklahoma will be just fine with him as the starting quarterback. His quote from the night before is next-level savage.
“I told the team last night that it’s time for us to go embarrass somebody.”

Texas Tech may be one of the worst programs in the Big 12, but it has a special place in Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley’s heart. This is his beloved alma mater and the one school most closely associated with the Mike Leach Air Raid attack. With Oklahoma light years ahead of Texas Tech in the Big 12 hierarchy, they absolutely embarrassed the Red Raiders to the tune of 62-28.
Though Rattler’s stat line wasn’t jaw-dropping, as he completed 21-of-30 passes for 288 yards, two touchdowns and no picks, the Oklahoma offense had 39 carries for 213 yards and a ridiculous six trips to pay dirt. To eviscerate Texas Tech on the ground like that was eye-opening. We know Oklahoma can sling it, but man, did the Sooners give it to the Red Raiders on Halloween night.
2020 may not be their year, but 2021 is shaping up to be what we expect out of Oklahoma.
