We have a NFC North showdown to begin the Sunday spread in the NFL

Even in games that feel lopsided, division rivals are always fun to watch. That will be the case Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings make the leap over to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay (5-1) is coming off a monumental 35-20 win over the Houston Texans. Aaron Rodgers continues to defy his age, finishing against the 1-6 Lone Star franchise with 283 passing yards and four touchdowns. The run game without Aaron Jones also was productive thanks to a quality outing from secondary runner Jamaal Williams taking the heavy load.

Minnesota (1-5) is hopeful with a bye week, their bad luck of losses will say goodbye for good. Offensively, it will be important for Kirk Cousins to limit his turnovers and connect with top-tier target Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Jefferson, the first-round pick from LSU, has shown his ability to enter the stardom conversation, hauling in 28 catches for 537 yards and three touchdowns.

The Vikings will be gaining back on their key threat offensively. After missing their debacle with the Atlanta Falcons, running back Dalvin Cook is expected to return to the starting lineup. The former second-rounder left early during the team’s Sunday night outing against the Seahawks with a groin injury and has been limited in practice. Prior to injury, Cook led the NFL in rushing with 461 yards and six touchdowns.

The Packers will need to decide if they will be buyers at the NFL, specifically at wide receiver. Although Rodgers did dismantle the Texans secondary, 196 of those passing yards went to go-to target Devante Adams. Outside of him, Malik Taylor and Jace Sternberger both made their touchdown grabs inside the 5-yard mark. Houston might be a nice spot for the franchise to look as reports state Green Bay is interested in the speedy Will Fuller V.
