NFL quarterback rankings, Week 9: Here comes Patrick Mahomes
2020 stats: 1,916 yards | 61.4 completion % | 13 TDs | 5 INTs | 7.8 YPA | 65.5 QBR

Stafford is a good quarterback, but the pick-sixes this season are crushing Detroit’s already slim chances. The reality is Stafford was been average, buoyed by some great throws and brought down by too many major errors.
2020 stats: 1,628 yards | 67.9 completion % | 15 TDs | 4 INTs | 6.6 YPA | 61.3 QBR
Last Week: 15
It’s odd to keep dropping a 7-0 quarterback, but Roethlisberger hasn’t played well this season. He’s throwing almost exclusively short passes and banking on yards after catch. The numbers are decent but the tape shows a 38-year-old with dwindling arm talent and a penchant for throwing into traffic.
2020 stats: 1,860 yards | 69.7 completion % | 10 TDs | 6 INTs | 8.1 YPA | 65.5 QBR
Last Week: 21
Rivers is similar to Roethlisberger in some ways. Older quarterback with limited arm strength. The Colts’ signal-caller makes more mistakes but also makes more big plays. The biggest difference is the YPA, which tilts in Rivers’ direction by a significant margin.
2020 stats: 2,272 yards | 67.0 completion % | 11 TDs | 5 INTs | 6.9 YPA | 59.8 QBR

Burrow was without three starting offensive linemen and Joe Mixon, and still managed to hang 31 points on the Titans in an upset win. Right now, it’s impossible to look at Burrow and not see a superstar in the making. He’s got every tool and the intangibles to go with them.
2020 stats: 1,847 yards | 66.8 completion % | 13 TDs | 7 INTs | 7.3 YPA | 71.5 QBR

Bye week for Arizona, and now Murray draws the Dolphins. Miami brought one Cover-0 blitz after the next against Jared Goff. If the Dolphins try a similar tactic against the Cardinals, Murray needs to make his reads and use his mobility.
