NFL trade deadline: 5 trades that should have been made to rock the league
J.J. Watt joins the Watt Bros. in the Steel City
Pittsburgh remains the only undefeated team left in the league. Their defensive front could be missing an element if Cameron Heyward’s recent injury becomes a problem. Even if the Pro Bowl defensive end returns, you can never have too much of a pass rush, right?
Watt, who seemed ready to call it quits in Houston after their game against Green Bay, still is one of the league’s best pass rushers. Despite his limited numbers in 2020, his ability to disrupt a backfield is uncanny from all different angles.
The trio of brothers would have tag-teamed their way to domination in the NFC North. Watt would have little trouble transitioning defenses since both teams run your standard 3-4 front. In a change of scenery, Watt might have returned to All-Pro form and helped keep the Steelers undefeated a while longer.
Pittsburgh might have missed out on a prospect in 2021, but they would have grabbed a player that solidifies this unit as one of the league’s best.
