FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff will not be working this weekend due to COVID-19 protocols.

Big Noon Kickoff will be off in Week 10 due to cautiously following coronavirus protocols.

Andrew Marchand of The New York Post reported late Wednesday night, “due to COVID-19 quarantine protocols, the entire on-air crew of FOX Sports’ college football pregame show, “Big Noon Kickoff,” will be off the air this Saturday. . .Urban Meyer, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone will be held out of the program.”

Who will be filling in for the Big Noon Kickoff’s quintet on Saturday morning?

This is significant because Saturday marks the start of the Pac-12 season. Big Noon Saturday will be called by Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt at the conclusion of FOX’s college football pregame show. While Bush, Leinart, Meyer, Quinn and Stone will be held out for precautionary reasons, FOX has a plan in place to offset not having its star-studded cast ahead of college football Saturday.

Filling in for the guys will be Emmanuel Acho, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Charissa Thompson. Bradshaw, Long and Thompson have ample experience doing in-game studio work on NFL Sundays. Acho recently joined FOX Sports and is the new co-host on Speak For Yourself along with Marcellus Wiley after Jason Whitlock’s departure to Outkick.

FOX did not say if any of members of the college football pregame show had contracted the coronavirus. With the show still in its infancy, this is not a great look for FOX. While Acho, Bradshaw, Long and Thompson will do just fine filling in for the guys, it is important for Bush, Leinart, Meyer, Quinn and Stone to rival their biggest competitors on ESPN’s College GameDay.

Week 10’s Big Noon Kickoff will be reduced to an hour and will feature different, but familiar faces.
