Denver Nuggets: Kenneth Faried

There’s a reason why Faried’s nickname is the “Manimal.” The 6-foot-8 power forward is the ultimate spark plug. If the rest of the starters aren’t playing well, Faried could immediately ignite the squad with a couple of dunks, some offensive rebounds and a defensive highlight. That’s why he played both the power forward and center positions despite being listed as 6-foot-8 and 220 pounds.

Faried was most effective as a small-ball center because of his leaping ability plus him being able to run rim to rim at a moment’s notice. As the old saying goes, “Speed kills” and he definitely used that to his advantage since most bigs couldn’t keep up with him in the open court. Faried is a shorter version of DeAndre Jordan in that he can basically catch any lob no matter what part of the paint the ball was thrown to.
