MVP Award Runners Up:

player. 48. . Quarterback. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady. 3

Stats: 7 Games: 65.6% completion for 1910 yards, 18 TDs & 4 INTs + 2 Rushing TDs

This feels more like a narrative than anything. Brady leaves the Patriots for the Buccaneers and continues to put up superb numbers. The Buccaneers are a Super Bowl contender, and they continue to load up on talent on the offensive side to help Brady. It is curious to watch the Bucs go all out to help Brady win, yet the Patriots rarely did that in all of Tom’s years in New England. A crazy run at the end of the year could heat up the ‘Brady for MVP’ but he would need the players in front of him to take a step back before he is able to be the MVP front-runner.

Patrick Mahomes. 2. player. 124. . Quarterback. Kansas City Chiefs

Stats: 8 Games: 66.9% completion for 2315 yards, 21 TDs & 1 INT + 165 rushing yards & 2 TDs.

No surprise here. Mahomes has continued to play as an elite, top quarterback in the NFL. He has proved to be worth every penny of the $500+ billion that the Chiefs shelled out for him. He would be #1 on this list if it weren’t for the spectacular season another player is putting up. Mahomes and the Chiefs are the Super Bowl frontrunner. They looked poised to go back to back. Let’s just hope they can stay healthy enough to get there.
