Tommy Fleetwood is my dark horse candidate to win the 2020 Masters Tournament.

Past Masters Finishes:

2019: T36 (-2)

2018: T17 (-4)

2017: T62 (+8)

Tommy Fleetwood. Odds are at 44/1 for him to take home the Green JacketThis is why he and Justin Rose are my dark horses. Like I have previously stated, I anticipate the weather playing a role in the tournament this year. Few are better equipped for the colder weather than Tommy Fleetwood. It’s no secret, you can see his past finishes, he has been underwhelming to say the least.

Yet to win a Major Championship, Fleetwood is looking for his first one and there’s no better time than the present. Fleetwood has not played particularly well as of late, granted this PGA Season has been anything but normal. It’s a gut feeling I have. Fleetwood drives and putts well, he plays conservatively. He doesn’t make many mistakes, and that’s what I believe wins the Masters this year.

I don’t expect someone to shoot into the teens at -13 again this year. I expect more of a ‘grind it out’ masters and someone wins that is -7 or -8 and Fleetwood is entirely capable of doing that. If he does manage to win, don’t say I didn’t warn you. The English golfers have an advantage this year, and Fleetwood is one of them.
