3. Matt Breida (MIA)

Game: Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, 11/8, 4:25 pm EST)

Out-of-nowhere standout Myles Gaskin will miss at least three weeks with a knee ailment. That means about four suitors will vie for carries within Miami’s offense — DeAndre Washington, Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird, and Matt Breida. It is a Sherlock Holmes-style mystery in determining which man will be given the bulk of the work.

We’re wagering it’s Matt Breida. The former San Francisco 49er is speedy and has experience with emerging from an RB-by-committee situation in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

And, the Cardinals surrender about 18 PPR points per game to halfbacks. Let’s give Breida a sleeper audition.

4. JK Dobbins (BAL)

Game: Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts (Sunday, 11/8, 1:00 pm EST)

It is not wise to start any offensive players vs. this year’s Colts, but we’re going for broke on this one. At some point, the Ravens organization will encounter an epiphany that recognizes JK Dobbins as a playmaker. Seemingly every time he’s allotted touches, dynamite ensues.

He will eventually emerge as a heavy-touches player, and we surmise more of that will happen at Indianapolis in Week 9. Yes, Lamar Jackson will still rush the ball, and some combination of Gus Edwards and Mark Ingram will be involved. But Dobbins is more explosive than Edwards and Ingram.
