DraftKings golf picks, The Masters: Best DFS lineup for Augusta
DraftKings Masters picks: $8,000 range
Adam Scott ($8,900) – After a long layoff before finally returning in the restart, Scott’s game hasn’t been atypical of his usual form. He’s not finished better than 22nd since returning and just doesn’t seem to be ready to win here. Still, as a past champion, he has to be mentioned.
Tony Finau ($8,800) – As always, Finau is an enigma. He’s still not yet gotten over the hump but seems to be drifting closer with top-10s in each major already played this year. His length and all-around game could suit Augusta well but you have to wonder how he’ll react in the moment again.
Hideki Matsuyama ($8,700) – Matsuyama made a run at the Houston Open with a Sunday 63 to finish T2. And when you look at ball-strikers who can lace their irons, few are better than him. Even so, his lack of putting prowess seems like a problem at Augusta, which is why he might be an unpopular fade from me.
Matthew Wolff ($8,500) – We’ve got another first-timer in here but I actually prefer Wolff to Morikawa at Augusta. His driver has been a bit sporadic lately but that’s the strength of his game. If he sorts that out and he flips the switch in big tournament as he’s already shown he can, he could be a tremendous value at this price.
Jason Day ($8,400) – Health is always the primary concern for Day as he saw a top-10 finish dissipate at the CJ Cup because he was forced to withdraw. When he’s been on the course and healthy, though, he’s actually swinging well right now. The risk might be too great for me but, if you take it, it could pay dividends.
Jordan Spieth ($8,200) – If you’re a gambler, then Spieth is the guy. His history at The Masters is storied, albeit littered with some nightmares too. His game is in relative shambles as he seemingly has no control over his ball with any shot. If there’s any place he could turn it around, though, wouldn’t it be Augusta? It’s a tough bet to make but, man, it could pay off.
