NFL power rankings, Week 10: Packers rise, Bears fall
The NFL power rankings shift again with big wins from the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, while the Chicago Bears take a third straight loss.
The beat goes on for the Jets, who are seriously staring at 0-16.
Jake Luton was solid, but it wasn’t enough to beat the one-win Texans.
Alex Smith is a great story. The rest of the team is not.
Another game, another loss. The Cowboys played tough but couldn’t finish the job.
The Giants have two wins, both against Washington. Do with that what you will.
Beating the Jaguars has earned the Texans a pair of wins this season. Playing everyone else? Not so good.
The jig is up for Anthony Lynn. It’s over.
The Patriots have major issues, but the Jets are always great medicine.
The Niners aren’t falling this far because they lost, but the injuries. It’s over in San Francisco.
Cincinnati has a chance to earn major credit this weekend against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Tough loss at Arrowhead. The Panthers were aggressive and hung tough, but it wasn’t enough.
It’s time to start looking ahead to a full-blown overhaul.
The Broncos are banged-up and Drew Lock doesn’t look like the long-term answer in Denver.
Atlanta has won two straight, and while the Falcons are finished this season, it’s at least a nice few weeks.
A pair of wins over the Lions and Packers, and suddenly Minnesota has the faintest hint of a pulse.
The NFC East’s best, ladies and gentlemen.
The Bears have lost three straight, and one wonders if the free-fall is coming.
What can the Browns do coming out of the bye? The schedule has some easy pockets, but also gut-checks against the Ravens and Steelers.
The defense is excellent, but the offense needs to do more. It’s simply not enough against the best teams. Indy will be tested over the next three weeks against Tennessee twice and Green Bay.
Miami has won four straight, and the Dolphins are coming on as a true playoff contender. Love what we’re seeing on South Beach.
Los Angeles caught a break with Arizona losing. Now the Rams have to come out of the bye and string some wins together.
The offense is terrific, but it’s fair to wonder if Arizona’s defense is going to hold it back over the final two months.
The Raiders needed to move into the top 10. At 5-3 and with wins over the Colts and Browns, Las Vegas is suddenly in great position for a playoff push.
Seattle dropped five spots because the defense is a tire fire. Losing to the Bills is fine, but allowing 44 points is not.
Tennessee’s defense stepped up and while the offense struggled against Chicago but don’t expect that to be a chronic issue.
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers got completely dismantled on Sunday night. Makes you wonder if Tampa Bay can consistently hang with the best teams.
What a win, the best of any team this season. The Saints are now comfortably in the driver’s seat for NFC South crown with a soft schedule ahead.
This was the most impressive win for Buffalo in years. Josh Allen was great, the gameplan was awesome and the defense created turnovers.
The Packers absolutely pummeled the 49ers, who were starting you, me and two guys from McDonalds. Didn’t learn a ton.
Baltimore beat a good team on the road, so they move up two spots. Still, there has to be real concern about the offense, which continues to trend downward.
The Steelers are undefeated at the halfway mark. They’ve been excellent. However, the red flags (Big Ben, blitz-reliant) are obvious. It’s tough to make Pittsburgh the top team.
The Chiefs barely beat the Panthers, but they handled business going into the bye. Patrick Mahomes looks incredible.
