Jon Rahm hit a legendary shot at Tuesday’s practice round ahead of The Masters.

The 2020 Masters Tournament is taking place this week at Augusta National. Tiger Woods is the defending champion, but it is Jon Rahm who is making noise before the event even begins.

The golfers are getting out for a practice round Tuesday and there is a tradition at the 16th hole. The goal is to skip the ball across the water and onto the green. Rahm took that a step further by skipping it all the way into the hole. See the madness for yourself.

Jon Rahm’s impossible shot

Is this a one-in-a-million shot? It sure is close based on all the factors in play here. First, Rahm had to strike it well enough to skip over the water and not go in. Then comes the insane path all the way down the green, following the perfect line, all the way into the hole. The ball had the perfect speed and just went in as it started to veer left at the last second.

Maybe Rahm will have to try this during the actual tournament. He just needs to recreate everything perfectly. Easy as that.

There is an odd feeling to The Masters taking place in November, but it fits considering the way 2020 has gone. The same is true with Rahm’s shot. Impossible in every other year other than this one.

Others tried to copy Rahm and were unsuccessful. Of course, he won’t try this during the actual event. One can still dream and it is great to see golfers back at Augusta after such a long lay-off. Now we are facing a scenario where the 2020 Masters will end and the 2021 event will be here before we know it.
