20. NFL All-Time Power Rankings: Los Angeles Chargers

  • Established: 1960
  • Playoff Appearances: 19
  • Division Titles: 15
  • MVPs: 1 (LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006)
  • Hall of Famers: 9
  • Championship Game Appearances: 8
  • AFL Championships: 1 (1963)
  • Super Bowl Appearances: 1 (1994)
  • Legacy Points: 57

We’re finally into the teens here as we start with a fun franchise in the Chargers. Even though Los Angeles has yet to win a Super Bowl there is no doubt that the Chargers have contributed plenty to NFL lore.

Don Coryell’s prolific passing game headlined by Hall of Famer Dan Fouts helped play a big role in beginning the passing revolution that has transformed the NFL into what it is today. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson was also one of the most dynamic rushers in history, producing an MVP-winning season in 2006 that was simply breathtaking to watch.

The Chargers have made semi-regular trips to the playoffs and even went 14-2 in 2006 but are still a title away from truly making their mark on the history books. Time will tell if Justin Herbert is the guy to bring Los Angeles to the promised land.
