16. NFL All-Time Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles

  • Established: 1933
  • Playoff Appearances: 27
  • Division Titles: 14
  • MVPs: 1 (Norm Van Brocklin in 1960)
  • Hall of Famers: 11
  • Championship Game Appearances: 10
  • NFL Championships: 3 (1948, 1949, 1960)
  • Super Bowl Appearances: 3 (1980, 2004, 2017)
  • Super Bowl Titles: 1 (2017)
  • Legacy Points: 83

One of the NFL’s classic franchises, the Eagles have really made a big move up these rankings over the past 20 years. Andy Reid turned the franchise into a perennial contender, racking up nine playoff appearances, seven NFC East titles, five appearances in the NFC Championship Game and a trip to Super Bowl XXXIX.

Unfortunately for Eagles’ fans, Reid wasn’t able to bring the franchise its first NFL championship since 1960. Philadelphia’s three NFL championships remained the franchise’s only titles until 2017 when Nick Foles’ magical playoff run helped the Eagles upset the Patriots to win Super Bowl LII.

The afterglow of that title has started to wear off for the Eagles, who have seen questions about Carson Wentz’s future become a major subplot in a slow start to the season. The good news is that there is still a solid foundation in place to keep making a mark on the NFL in the coming years.
