Aaron Rodgers filibusters Patrick Mahomes (Video)
Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes feature together in a new commercial.
What does it look like when Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes get together in the same room?
State Farm offered the briefest of looks with their new mini-ad, which Rodgers posted on Twitter.
In politics, that’s what they call a filibuster. Though those usually last closer to six hours than six seconds.
Those six seconds didn’t just include the two quarterbacks chilling together on a coach. They also revealed a heinous crime against the furniture.

Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes are in the MVP race
When it comes to their play on the field, both Rodgers and Mahomes are taking advantage of every second.
Rodgers, who is having one of his best seasons yet, leads the NFL with a passer rating of 117.5 and a QBR of 87.6. Mahomes isn’t far behind him in either measure, posting a 115.9 and 87.0 respectively.
Mahomes has the edge in yardage with 297.6 yards per game. Rodgers is averaging 281.6.
Rodgers has 24 touchdowns so far. Mahomes has 25. Only Russell Wilson has more. However, Rodgers and Mahomes have thrown far fewer interceptions with two and one respectively.
It also helps that both QBs are leading successful campaigns so far. Mahomes’ Chiefs are 8-1 while Rodgers’ Packers have a 6-2 record.
Mahomes picked up the NFL MVP in 2018, but his greatest accomplishment came as the Super Bowl MVP and champion in 2019. He has his team well on the way to contending for another one.
Rodgers has also been a Super Bowl champ and MVP. However, that was back in 2011. Since then he has been a two-time league MVP, but Green Bay hasn’t made it back to the big game. They have lost three NFC Championship games in the meantime.
Since the Packers and Chiefs don’t play in the regular season this year, it’ll take a Super Bowl matchup to pit Rodgers and Mahomes against each other on the field.
