Can the Florida Gators defend their home turf from an upstart Arkansas Razorbacks team or will Feleipe Franks get a win over his former team?

Fresh off a monumental rivalry win against the Georgia Bulldogs, Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators are looking to build momentum in what could be a special season for them. The Gators now have the easiest path to winning the SEC East, but their next test comes from an intriguing SEC West team.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are fascinating. While Florida’s win over Georgia rightfully gets more attention than the Razorbacks’ most recent victory, Arkansas beating Tennessee is still a noteworthy event this season. The 11-point victory over the Vols is impressive as it handed Sam Pittman’s team its third win of the season, which is more wins than the Razorbacks had in either 2018 or 2019 under Chad Morris.

Pittman’s team is looking for an opportunity to shock a Florida team that might be primed for a hangover game. But, if the Razorbacks are going to win against the Gators, they’ll have to do it on the road and without their head coach as Pittman has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Razorbacks have yet to win two games in a row this season. While they’re 3-3 on the year, they’ve alternated wins and losses so far all season. That likely doesn’t change this weekend.

While it’s true, this is the perfect chance to catch Florida on a trap game with the Gators hungover from winning the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party for the first time since 2016, the Razorbacks are tasked with facing Florida in The Swamp without the man who has been instrumental in this turnaround season. That just seems like too much of an obstacle for this team in this stage of a rebuild to overcome at the moment.

Florida should win this game and the Gators have a solid chance over covering the spread, which would spoil former Florida quarterback, and current Arkansas quarterback, Feleipe Franks’ return to Gainesville.
