10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 10
By Dustin Baker
If you need an edge to win your fantasy football matchup in Week 10, consider adding one of these sleepers at the wide receiver position.
Notable sleeper hits in this analysis last week included Brandi Cooks, Jerry Jeudy, Marvin Jones, Damiere Byrd, Christian Kirk, Diontae Johnson, and Mike Williams. Those seven players were not heavily sought after in 2020 fantasy drafts, but they did perform admirably in Week 9.
So, let’s find out who could surprise the masses during Week 10.
Note: The selection of these 10 sleepers is assessed from a 10-team, PPR league perspective.
1. Mike Williams (LAC)
Game: Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins (Sunday, 11/15, 4:05 pm EST)
Justin Herbert is emerging as the best rookie quarterback in the NFL, and Mike Williams is stuffing his stat sheet because of it. The two talents are a marvelous complement to one another. Williams has grabbed over 80 receiving yards in two consecutive games. Herbert’s arrival has made Williams thunderstruck.
Last week, the Dolphins got bogged down in a shootout against the Cardinals and won. So, they have high-scoring games in their DNA with Tua Tuga Tagovaiola at the helm. They could very likely drag the Chargers into a high-scoring affair, too.
Miami allows about 24 points per game to wide receivers. This is the 12th-worst in the business.
2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (GB)
Game: Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers (Sunday, 11/15, 1:00 pm EST)
What a bloodbath this will be.
This Sunday strangulation will be a profitable occasion for fantasy managers with Green Bay Packers on their rosters. Davante Adams is the gem of them all, but Valdes-Scantling should be freed up for some targets. He’s a deep-threat, and we know Rodgers can fling it.
The Jaguars aren’t all that poor in containing wide receivers for fantasy purposes, though. In this metric, they’re an average defense. We’re just banking on 35-plus points from Green Bay. Valdez-Scantling makes sense to put up 12+ points in Week 10.
