12. Creighton Bluejays

This is a team that could easily have landed in the top five of these appointment-worthy rankings if Ty-Shon Alexander if he stayed in school. Alexander’s presence would have helped the 2020 Big East champs be a true title contender, but Creighton still looks to be very good this season.

The key returner for the Bluejays is Marcus Zegarowski, who averaged 16.1 points and 5.0 assists per game. Zegarowski figures to be the leader of this Creighton team that should be jockeying with Villanova for Big East supremacy in 2021.

The other thing to keep in mind with Creighton is that this team plays a very fun brand of basketball in terms of outside shooting. The Bluejays knocked down 38.6 percent of their 3-point attempts last season and there is plenty of perimeter marksmanship still around on this roster.

There is also a marquee non-conference matchup on tap for Creighton: a date with Kansas in early December. That game should be a lot of fun to watch and show what the Bluejays can do against some top-notch competition.
