Adrian Wojnarowski has no time for TV interviews during NBA Draft (Video)

The busy NBA insider for ESPN literally couldn’t wait to walk off his television interview prior to the draft.

The 2020 NBA Draft has finally arrived, which means that ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski will be one of the busiest people in the sports media industry. Not only will he be tweeting out all 60 selections on Wednesday evening, but he’ll also be discussing the many, many trades that will occur. Wojnarowski’s phone is ringing off the hook as we speak, but he had to ignore it for just a few minutes.

Prior to the start of the annual NBA event, Wojnarowski sat down for a brief interview to discuss the right leg injury to Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson. After his hit was over, “Woj” immediately reached for his phone, answered it and walked right off the set.

Don’t disturb Woj during the draft

Wojnarowski was all business in that moment. His phone was probably vibrating off the hook and he couldn’t wait to finally answer that call! Could it be a “Woj Bomb” in the making?

Trades have already circulated earlier on Wednesday. The Houston Rockets traded Trevor Ariza to the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76ers acquired Danny Green from the Oklahoma City Thunder for Al Horford, a first-round pick and a second-round selection. It’s safe to say that these won’t be the last transactions of the day. The NBA Draft is notorious for the trades throughout the night. It’s an annual tradition of seeing players get interviewed wearing the wrong hats, because they got traded moments before they go live. It’s an awkward and chaotic night.

But all eyes will be at the start of the event. The Minnesota Timberwolves own the first-overall pick and the Golden State Warriors follow them with pick No. 2. It will remain to be seen if either team takes one of Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball or James Wiseman.
