10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 11
By Dustin Baker
8. Mike Williams (LAC)
Game: New York Jets at Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, 11/22, 4:05 pm EST)
The Chargers are playing the Jets in Week 11, and that’s pretty much all we need to say about this one. Justin Herbert is a middle-school lookalike phenom. The young man can throw the ball, arguably better than fellow rookie, Joe Burrow.
Although Keenan Allen is the keynote pass-catcher, we foresee a bomb or two thrown in the direction of deep-threat, Mike Williams.
9. Preston Williams (MIA)
Game: Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos (Sunday, 11/22, 4:05 pm EST)
Keep an eye on this gentleman for longer than just Week 11. Rookie Tua Tagovailoa is the undisputed starter, and he’s targeting Williams more so than Ryan Fitzpatrick did. Those types of QB-WR relationships are important. Take, for example, James White in New England. White is a running back that Tom Brady treated like a wideout. With Brady gone, Newton targets White nowhere near as much as Brady did.
Tagovailoa-to-Williams is becoming a thing. Start Williams in Denver if you’re scouring the waiver wire for options.
10. Jarvis Landry (CLE)
Game: Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns (Sunday, 11/22, 1:00 pm EST)
Due to gross weather, the Browns could get little offense ticking last weekend vs. Houston. There is no guarantee that the weather will be better this weekend, but it probably will not be as nasty as last Sunday.
Landry is the WR1 with Odell Beckham out for the season. By default, Landry will see more targets. The Eagles are a floundering, underachieving bunch that surrender 21 PPR points per game to opposing wide receivers. Landry will gobble some of those points.
