Cardale Jones rips Big Ten refs working Ohio State-Indiana game to shreds
By John Buhler
Cardale Jones let it be known how frustrated he was with the Big Ten officials on Saturday.
Cardale Jones is just as perplexed with the Big Ten referees as we are this weekend.
When Jones’ alma mater Ohio State football took on Indiana football on FOX’s Big Noon Saturday, there were a lot of questionable calls by the officials in the first half. Jones took to Twitter to voice his frustrations over how he felt the game was being called. While Ohio State was able to assert its dominance in the second quarter, he felt the officials were keeping the game with Indiana close.
Ohio State had to beat Indiana and the Big Ten officials on Saturday
In what was the signature game of the Week 12 slate, the Big Ten East division title was largely on the line when the Ohio State Buckeyes welcomed the Indiana Hoosiers into The Horseshoe. This matchup between top-10 teams is the first of two games of note in Big Ten country. Maybe the refs will not be as involved in the game between Wisconsin and Northwestern going on later?
Either way, it has not been a banner weekend for Big Ten officials. They screwed up horrendously on Friday night to rip a victory away from Purdue over Minnesota. It was only made worse by the officials taking a certain turnover away from the Buckeyes on the Hoosiers in the first quarter. Let’s just hope the officials do not end up tipping the scales in either way in this game.
Jones was speaking for all of us on Saturday when he called out awful Big Ten officiating.
