Week 12 was light on chaos but that doesn’t mean the college football rankings will be any less shaken, especially with a couple of top-10 teams falling.

Another week, another slate of games with cancellations and postponements everywhere, including a last-minute decision in the Clemson vs. Florida State game.

With more teams sitting at home this weekend to avoid spreading COVID-19, there were still some big games on the schedule, headlined by a noon matchup between No. 3 Ohio State and No. 9 Indiana. This game was expected to be a close one but Ohio State took a 28-point lead and looked like it was going to run away with an easy win.

Not so fast.

The Hoosiers stormed back to pull within seven with a chance to lead a game-tying drive with under a minute left. Indiana ran out of magic as the Buckeyes won and improved to 4-0. No one is doubting the Hoosiers anymore, though.

Elsewhere in the noon slate, Florida held off Vanderbilt and Coastal Carolina fought off the upset-hungry Mountaineers of App State.

In the 3:30 p.m. ET slate, BYU smacked North Alabama with ease, Oregon held on in a surprisingly tight matchup against UCLA and Cincinnati did the same against UCF. Wisconsin didn’t have the same luck against a rising Northwestern team, falling the Wildcats in upset fashion.

Alabama dominated Kentucky and Iowa State shutout Kansas State as both look like serious favorites to win their respective conferences.

Also, not an impact game for the AP Top 25, but it’s worth noting that Penn State is now 0-5 on the season after losing to Iowa in Happy Valley. The Nittany Lions began the season ranked in the top 10 and now have yet to record a win and we are almost completely through November.

In the evening slate, Auburn took care of a struggling Tennessee team as Jeremy Pruitt’s Vols are now 2-5 after starting the season 2-0. Georgia beat Mississippi State by a touchdown as we finally saw JT Daniels for the Bulldogs and he passed for over 400 yards.

Then we saw Liberty upset at the hands of NC State and Oklahoma dismantled rival Oklahoma State and it’s now clearer than ever that we won’t see a Big 12 team in the playoff this year.

What might the AP Top 25 look like heading into Sunday?
