Former Georgia football star David Pollack is confused why the Dawgs can’t have two nice things at the same time on offense.

David Pollack cannot believe how different Georgia football’s offense looks right now.

Saturday marked the first career start for JT Daniels at quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs. Moving the sticks aerially, and especially vertically, had been a major issue for this team this year. With Daniels now under center, the Dawgs do not have issues passing the ball. Where they are struggling vs. the Mississippi State Bulldogs is in the ground game. They are going nowhere.

As soon as the passing game took flight, the running game halted

This has been a challenging game for Georgia. The Dawgs are playing down to the level of competition vs. Mississippi State. While we need to give Mike Leach’s team a ton of credit for playing hard, Pollack speaks on behalf of all of Dawg Nation with his tweet. It is so Georgia to lose the ability to run immediately after the passing game is summoned back to life.

The good news for Georgia is Daniels looks to be legit. We knew he was going to be legit, but we were not sure how healthy he was entering the season. He looks just fine now. The bad news is Georgia’s inability to run the ball effectively might lead them to be upset at home by a two-win Mississippi State team. We are just as confused about it all as Pollack is.

At least Daniels gives the Dawgs something to be excited about going forward at quarterback.
