Iowa is steady and consistent and has won a couple of games this season. Meanwhile, Penn State is volatile and is winless. Will the Nittany Lions find a way to level out and take down the Hawkeyes?

Prior to this unusual college football season beginning, few around the college football world would’ve ever realistically expected the Nittany Lions to be winless at this point in the season. James Franklin and his team have had heartbreaking loss after heartbreaking loss this year, and they’re not exactly catching their next opponent at a point where it’s easy for them to win.

The Iowa Hawkeyes got the year started by losing two games by a combined five points. Since then, the Hawkeyes have run right over their two most recent foes, beating Michigan State and Minnesota by a combined score of 84-14.

Franklin and the Nittany Lions need to find a way to win. Statistically, they’re not an awful team, but they’re certainly a weird one. Penn State is gaining 437 yards a game but only scoring 25.5 points per game. The Nittany Lions hold their foes to just 360 yards a game, but they’re giving up 34.8 points per game.

Iowa, meanwhile, is steady, efficient, and consistent. They’re gaining just 376 yards a game, but scoring 31 points per game. Their defense allows just 314.3 yards per game, and teams are only scoring 14.8 points per game.
