In a move that hopefully turns things around, the Dallas Cowboys are mixing up their offensive line.

We’ve officially reached the stage of the season where the Dallas Cowboys are so desperate they’ll try anything to win.

Dallas is in last place in the NFC East and is in a four-game losing streak as it continues to spectacularly spiral downward. Fans already want first-year head coach Mike McCarthy fired, Andy Dalton is the starting quarterback, and the schedule isn’t getting any easier.

Perhaps a change at offensive line will be the thing that fixes everything. At least, that’s what the Cowboys are apparently hoping.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys are making a huge shakeup on their offensive line ahead of a massive game against Minnesota.

“The Cowboys plan to start All-Pro guard Zack Martin at right tackle against the Vikings, sources say. Rookie Terence Steele goes to the bench. A big shakeup as they return from the bye with Andy Dalton back at QB,” Pelissero reported on Sunday.

Martin has been one of the Cowboy’s best players since he was drafted, and he’s been the lone bright spot on an otherwise horrendous season. Moving him to right tackle might be the smartest things Dallas has done all season, but it’s also a sign that McCarthy might be losing some power.

Earlier this year, McCarthy brazenly told reporters that the idea of moving Martin to right tackle was “fantasy football nonsense”, and staunchly refused to make a move many believed could help the offense.

Should the Cowboys upset the Vikings on Sunday, it would be a doubly sweet victory for fans who have already placed 100 percent of the blame for losing on McCarthy and his poor decision making.
