Vanessa Hudgens might be dating Cole Tucker and we’re confused by it too

It appears that actress Vanessa Hudgens has a new man in her life, and it’s Pittsburgh Pirates player Cole Tucker.

The Pittsburgh Pirates didn’t make many headlines on the field this season, as they sat in dead last in the NL Central division with a 19-41 record. Nothing to write home about. However, one of it’s young players has entered the spotlight off the field, and it has to do with their personal life.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens was spotted in the streets of Los Angeles holding hands with Pirates shortstop and outfielder Cole Tucker on an apparent date night at the Canyon Country Store on Saturday. Yes, you read that correctly, and there are photos to prove it, via The Daily Mail.

Tucker isn’t winning on the field, but he’s winning off of it

As you can expect with the gossipy headline, many individuals were taken aback at that Tucker would be dating an A-list star lie Hudgens. And of course, they expressed their sense of humor on Twitter after learning of this news.

Tucker, the former first-round pick of the Pirates in the 2014 MLB Draft, has spent two seasons in the majors. In his rookie campaign in 2019, Tucker slashed .211/.266/.361 while recording two home runs, 31 hits, 16 runs scored and 13 RBI. This past season, Tucker put up similar numbers, where he posted a .220 batting average and .527 OPS with one home run and eight RBI.

If the couple are truly dating, we send our congratulations to them. As for those of you who are making snide and distasteful remarks, just let the two be happy. Seriously, don’t be that person.
