2020 NFL power rankings, Week 12: Titans and Colts win in OT
Thanks to a 40-32 victory in Week 5 at Arrowhead Stadium, the Silver and Black was in position to sweep Kansas City for the first time since 2012.
Jon Gruden’s team owned a 17-14 halftime edge and quarterback Derek Carr was having his way with the Chiefs’ defense. But the Raiders’ defense, despite picking off Patrick Mahomes late in the first half, never really pressured him and would finish the evening with zero sacks while allowing 460 total yards.
The team has been erratic, most notably on the offensive side of the ball. The Rams have turned over the ball 13 times in nine games and while Jared Goff has stood out at times, he’s also had his rough outings.
Led by Aaron Donald, the Los Angeles’ defense entered Week 11 allowing the second-fewest total yards in the NFL while only four club had surrendered fewer yards per game rushing. Sean McVay’s team still has four divisional games left.
The Browns have not put a lot of points on the board in their last two games but they hosted an Eagles’ team that was having even bigger issues. And the Cleveland offense managed only one touchdown vs. Philadelphia courtesy of a Kareem Hunt run.
Minus Myles Garrett, the club still managed to sack Carson Wentz five times (three by Olivier Vernon, one for a safety). And second-year linebacker Sione Takitaki had a 50-yard interception return for a score.
