With the game on the line, Tom Brady came up well short for Tampa Bay on Monday Night against the Rams.

Known throughout his historic career as being a clutch player, the opposite was the case for Tom Brady during Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams. The future Hall of Famer finished the night with two costly interceptions.

His second came in back-breaking fashion, with an overthrow to Cameron Brate landing in the hands of Jordan Fuller with less than two minutes to go. LA would go on to win the game 27-24.

Following the defeat, Bucs’ head coach Bruce Arians didn’t hold back in saying Brady and Tampa Bay as a whole simply has to play better.

Late in the fourth quarter, you’d think it’d be a pretty safe bet to think Brady would be able to make the necessary plays to help lead his team to victory. How many times have we seen arguably the best quarterback of all time get the job done late for his team?

However, the Brady magic ran out against the Rams defense. On his interception late, he clearly blew it on the toss. Brady had Brate flying down the middle of the field but missed him by a country mile. The interception was practically gift-wrapped for Fuller to have.

With the loss, Tampa Bay is 7-4 on the year and is looking up to the 8-2 Saints in the NFC South standings. They’ll need some luck late in the season to win the division. They’ll also need Brady to step his game up and do so quickly before it’s too late.
