Dallas Cowboys linebacker Luke Gifford got popped for PEDs.

Luke Gifford will not play for the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday after testing positive for PEDs.

After improving to 3-7 on the year and very much alive in the absurdly pitiful NFC East race, Gifford will not be able to play on Thursday afternoon vs. the Washington Football Team because he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. Gifford is eligible to return to the Cowboys for Week 14 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals, but will have to serve a two-game suspension first.

It is just one thing after another for the 2020 Cowboys

The winner of Thursday afternoon’s game in Arlington between Dallas and Washington will be the first team in the NFC East to four wins on the season. They will be in first place all by themselves when their head hits the pillow on Thursday night. Though Gifford hardly plays for the Cowboys, this is a team that has been in the news for all the wrong reasons this season. It does not stop.

While no team in the NFC East is technically out of it, Dallas feels like one of the least likely teams to win the division. Though the Philadelphia Eagles have stumbled of late, Washington and the New York Giants have to some degree come on of late. Ultimately, somebody has to win this division in 2020 to be cannon fodder for the best team in the NFC that could not win theirs.

Gifford testing positive for PEDs ahead of Thanksgiving is just more 2020 Cowboys nonsense.
