The Colts and Cardinals are among the teams on upset alert in Week 12.

Thanksgiving is approaching in the NFL and the importance of each NFL game has increased significantly as a result. Blowing critical games to teams you should beat, as the Miami Dolphins learned on Sunday, are a huge issue when you are trying to reach the postseason.

This week provides another chance to pick up victories and move one step closer to the playoffs, but avoiding those critical upsets will be key for a few teams this week. Let’s look at three more here, with all odds referenced in this story coming courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Colts need to be on upset alert against the Titans

We mentioned Indianapolis in this space last week and they got into early trouble, trailing the Green Bay Packers 28-14. Matt Eberflus’ defense responded nicely, holding the Packers to just three points after halftime and forcing a key fumble from Marques Valdez-Scantling in overtime to set up the winning field goal.

The victory moved the Colts to 7-3 and sets them up for a big rematch with the Tennessee Titans, who they topped on the road in Week 10 on a short week. Oddsmakers have set the Colts as 3.5-point favorites in the contest, but they will need to be very careful against a strong Titans’ team.

Special teams played a big factor in Indianapolis’ Week 10 victory so if Tennessee can clean up that aspect of their game this game should be extremely close. Derrick Henry also played a big role in the Titans’ overtime victory against Baltimore on Sunday so the Colts would be well advised to be very careful not to let him wreck this game too.
