Bears activate Eddie Jackson from reserve/COVID-19 list, will start vs. Packers

Bears safety Eddie Jackson is all set to play against the Packers after coming off the reserve COVID list.
The Chicago Bears will have Eddie Jackson for the NFC North showdown vs. the Green Bay Packers after all. The All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson was removed from the COVID-19 list on Friday morning after going on the list earlier in the week.
Eddie Jackson should help the Bears make life tough for Aaron Rodgers
Jackson slipped into the fourth round of the 2016 draft despite a fantastic playing career at Alabama, and he almost immediately established himself as one of the best deep safeties in the entire game. Jackson remains an integral part of Chuck Pagano’s defense, which remains one of the best groups in the league despite Matt Nagy’s offense doing them no favors.
Chicago’s offense is ahead of only the Jets in terms of points per game, and Rodgers being able to put up points in a hurry means that Jackson and the defense will need to totally shut them down with quarterback Mitch Trubisky expected to return to the starting lineup with Nick Foles sidelined with injury.
Jackson hasn’t been producing at the same clip he has over the last few seasons, but his ability to cover ground and prevent big plays from presenting themselves down the field is almost second to none. Nagy has to thrilled with the news that he’ll have his star safety locked in and ready to go against Green Bay.
