Buffalo Bills. Brian Daboll. player. Scouting Report. OC. 16. Pick Analysis. 2

At some point, Brian Daboll is going to get his chance to lead a team. Based on the two-year progress from Josh Allen in Orchard Park, that alone has earned him the right to lead a team.

Working with both Nick Saban and Bill Belichick, Daboll has the pedigree most teams look for in a head coach. The difference between this Belichick disciple and others? He never served as a coordinator but rather, just a position coach during his time in Foxborough. The Dolphins hired Patriots linebacker coach Brian Flores to help with the rebuild in South Beach and construction for the final product is well ahead of schedule.

Buffalo’s offense is the reason the Bills are contenders in 2020. Allen’s limited turnover rate, high passing percentage and delivery of throws all have been instigated by Daboll’s work in the film room and practice. Stafford still is talented, but the team also could be looking for a new gunslinger to build the future around.

Either way, it’s a win for all involved as Daboll would become the chief mechanic in fixing Detroit to get the Lions back into the winning lane.
