Trevor Lawrence gives farewell message for Clemson football fans after last home game (Video)

Trevor Lawrence thanked Clemson football fans for all the memories at Death Valley.
Trevor Lawrence issued an emotional goodbye after playing his final game at Memorial Stadium in a Clemson football uniform.
The Clemson Tigers quarterback will be turning pro after his true junior year. Lawrence will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by either the New York Jets or the Jacksonville Jaguars. Once this college football season comes to an end, that will be the end of Lawrence’s time in college. He took the time to thank Clemson Family for all the support over the years after Saturday’s win.
“Super special night,” Lawrence said. “Wouldn’t want to go out any other way. Super grateful to be a part of Clemson University and even more so this program. Love all the coaches, all the players. My years here have been amazing. Thankful for everybody, thankful for the fans. Love you guys.”

Clemson may be able to go out on top as champions at the end of the year
Despite losing earlier in the season to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Clemson is very much alive to make the College Football Playoff and win it. Clemson has made the last five playoffs as ACC Champions. They will have to do the same, as they will not have the luxury of getting in as a two-loss, non-champion. With Lawrence under center, Clemson has the talent to go all the way here.
Clemson has played in four of the last five national championships, winning two of them, both of them over the Alabama Crimson Tide. Since the Tigers will not be getting the No. 1 seed in the playoff, they will get a formidable challenger in the national semifinal in the No. 2 or No. 3 national seed. Assuming Clemson can build on this blowout win over Pitt, the Tigers are in great shape.
Lawrence is appreciative of his three years playing ball in Death Valley in front of the Clemson Family.
