Jake Paul made quick work of former NBA Slam Dunk Champion Nate Robinson in the second round of their co-main event bout on Saturday night.
Nate Robinson formerly of the Los Angeles Clippers and currently co-captain of the Big3’s tri-state faced off with YouTube star Jake Paul in a six round boxing match on Saturday night.
Unfortunately for the 5’9 former NBA star and three-time dunk contest champion he didn’t have nearly the showing he hoped for in the contest. Being dropped to the canvas several times before having the contest ruled a TKO at just 1:35 in the second round.
While the knockout was concerning for a time with the former pro laying prone on the canvas for several minutes. Fan’s concern wained considerably and Twitter did what it was meant for. They roasted him.

Several accounts tied the way Robinson looked laid out on the canvas to his now-iconic dunk during the NBA dunk contest when he went vertical for the bucket.

Pop culture references abounded as well with less than ideal callbacks to Rocky IV where a blonde Ivan Drago beats a scrappy Apollo Creed so badly that he dies in the ring.

While some stuck with a simple reference to Disney’s The Lion King.
