Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek hills are just unfair together.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the better defenses in the NFL. Here’s the thing, Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill are just better.

How good are they you might ask? They soon could be breaking a record.

During the first quarter, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback launched an absolute bomb downfield to his go-to target. Thanks to the speedy receiver winning in coverage early, he was able to torch a pair of Buccaneers for the easy  75-yard touchdown, giving the Chiefs a 10-0 lead.

But that wasn’t enough for Hill’s production. One drive later, Mahomes targeted him again, this time for a 44-yard touchdown, giving Kansas City a 17-0 lead with minutes left on the clock.

Is there a team better than Kansas City?

By the time Hill steps back onto the field, he will have already seven receptions for 203 yards and a pair of scores. The record for all-time receiving yards in a game is 336 yards when Flip Anderson defeated that record in 1989.

Sure, the Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting at 10-0. Are fans sure that this Kansas City team wouldn’t beat them based on Mahomes arm alone? Already against the second-ranked team in turnovers, Mahomes has thrown for 229 yards and a pair of scores to Hill.

Hill and Mahomes have shown their top tier status in the NFL for the past three seasons. Thanks to their budding connection, they could be viewed by many as the best 1-2 combination in the NFL. Moving forward, this will be something all fans should keep an eye on moving into the closing minutes of Sunday’s game.

Mahomes is determined to break records during his stay in the league. Perhaps this time, he helps a buddy break one as well. One that likely will never be beaten in the common era thanks to star coverage from defenders.
