Bradley Roby out for the remainder of the season due to PED violation.
The Houston Texans might be 4-7, but things aren’t turning around. Now, the defense will be without a key cover man for the remainder of the season.
Texans cornerback Bradley Roby will be suspended six games for breaking the NFL’s substance policy protocol. According to his Instagram, the former Broncos nickel defender unknowingly took a product that was banned by the league and later tested positive for the substance.
Roby took to Instagram to apologize to his fans and teammates about the violation.
This is the second Texans banned for the regular season
Roby is the lesser name known on this list after news struck Houston early Monday evening. Wide receiver Will Fuller also received a six-game ban after testing positive for a similar substance found in his system earlier this offseason.
Roby will finish the 2020 campaign with 37 tackles, seven pass breakups and one interception. He is set to return to action with the franchise next season after starting the year still on the banned substance list.
Fuller, meanwhile, might be calling it a day in Houston. With only five games left and his contract up, he’ll enter free agency this offseason. Talk about a rough day for Deshaun Watson and the team without a first-round pick, huh?
