There is a chance Florida State football has played its last game of the 2020 college season.
Florida State could potentially not play a game again until the 2021 campaign.
After having their two previous games vs. the Clemson Tigers and the Virginia Cavaliers postponed hours before kickoff the last two weeks, the Florida State Seminoles had their third game in as many weeks taken off the schedule. Florida State will not play the Duke Blue Devils this weekend, who will instead be playing the Miami Hurricanes in Week 14. Is this season over for Florida State?
Florida State could have games that were postponed possibly rescheduled
The Seminoles are 2-6 on the season and 1-6 in ACC play. Their only wins on the year are home dates vs. the FCS Jacksonville State Gamecocks and the North Carolina Tar Heels back in October. Florida State has not played since losing to the North Carolina State Wolfpack in Raleigh on Nov. 14. With no game on Dec. 5 in Week 14, could the Seminoles get at least one more game in?
While there is no way the Seminoles can play all three of their final ACC games this season, they could theoretically play Clemson on Dec. 12 in Week 15 and Virginia in Week 16. The Cavaliers will be playing the in-state rival Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 15, so do not expect that game to be moved unless it absolutely has to. There is a good chance Florida State plays one more game.
Florida State will not play more than 10 games this season but should play more than eight.
