The 49ers social media team is taking the temporary move to Arizona in stride.

The San Francisco 49ers have already faced so much adversity in 2020. Then came the news they would not be able to play or practice at home this month due to COVID regulations. Thus came a temporary move to Arizona, at least for the next two scheduled home games.

The team had no choice but to take the move in stride and continue focusing on reaching the postseason after a huge win Sunday over the Los Angeles Rams. The social media team also joined in to add some levity to the move.

Cardinals and 49ers join the fun on Twitter

So much about 2020 has been unique and this is no different. The Cardinals’ Twitter account decided to jump in and join the fun and a Step Brothers party was started.

Why not make the best of it? The players and coaches are going through a lot so the least the 49ers social media team can do is have a bit of fun. There really is no other option with the rules in place forcing the 49ers out of town.

The team will be based in Arizona for at least three weeks. That means two home games for sure and potentially a third if they are not allowed back by the first week of January. The 49ers are already playing the Cardinals the day after Christmas so staying in the desert may provide the easiest option.

Jokes are always a nice thing during such difficult times and that is one good thing about Twitter. Now fans are left hoping this new home will allow the team to rally together and continue pushing toward the playoffs. Getting in this way would be quite the story for the defending NFC champions.
