Start:

David Montgomery, CHI, vs. DET

David Montgomery erupted on Sunday Night Football, recording 143 yards on 16 total touches, adding a receiving touchdown through the air. It’s clear that he is the bell cow of this offense and a matchup with the Detroit Lions should see those numbers continue to climb into the stratosphere. Montgomery has always had the potential. Perhaps this is the time he uses it.

Myles Gaskin, MIA, vs. CIN

There’s no guarantee that Myles Gaskin is back this week, but if he is, he has a brilliant matchup to succeed with. The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t too good nowadays and Gaskin could gash them much like Wayne Gallman did last week. If not Gaskin, then Salvon Ahmed should cherish the opportunity.

Kareem Hunt, CLE, @ TEN

Kareem Hunt’s numbers have not been too great since Nick Chubb‘s return. Chubb has taken a lot of the backfield touches and used them far better than Hunt. That doesn’t mean we are sitting him though, as the Tennessee Titans present an excellent matchup for a pass-catcher like Hunt to succeed. We have seen it in recent weeks as Nyheim Hines has dominated against the Titans.

Sit:

Ezekiel Elliott, DAL, @ BAL

Ezekiel Elliott has not had a wonderful time this season. His output on Thanksgiving was rather brutal, totaling 2.9 points in PPR leagues. Facing Baltimore doesn’t provide much hope, no matter how their COVID-19 situation is. We really advise you to sit him down this week so that you can get some real points from another running back.

James Conner, PIT, @ WAS

James Conner’s entry onto the COVID-19 list isn’t the reason for his placement on the list, but more so the fewer and fewer touches he has been receiving in recent weeks. Benny Snell and Anthony McFarland help make up a backfield that should be considered a committee moving forward.

Latavius Murray, NO, @ ATL

Latavius Murray had a day for the New Orleans Saints this past weekend. That does not mean you should be starting him in your lineups. Believe it or not, the Atlanta Falcons have been impressive against the run, making it even harder to start him.
