Jerry Jones just threw poor Ben DiNucci completely under a bus

Jerry Jones ripped quarterback Ben DiNucci when discussing the Denver Broncos COVID-19 issues with their signal-callers.

Goodness, Jerry Jones… your quarterback has a family! That’s what Dallas Cowboys fans must be thinking to themselves after the team owner just totally and completely threw seventh-round pick Ben DiNucci under a bus.

With Dak Prescott out for the season and Andy Dalton suffering a concussion against the Washington Football Team, DiNucci started for America’s Team against the Eagles on Nov. 2. DiNucci struggled, but still completely 21 passes for 180 yards.

According to Jones, however, when Dallas had to start DiNucci, the team was handcuffed the same way the Denver Broncos were over the weekend when all of their quarterbacks were sidelined due to COVID-19 issues. The Broncos ended up trotting out practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton to start. So, DiNucci is as bad as a practice squad wideout, Mr. Jones?

Jerry Jones calling out Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci came from way out of left field

No offense to Jones, but the Cowboys situation compared to Denver’s is not even close. The Broncos had all of their quarterbacks wiped out for a game. Jones and Dallas at least had an NFL draft pick on their roster to trot out onto the field. If he’s saying DiNucci is just as bad as Hinton, then why in the world did the team use a pick on him?

In Sunday’s loss to the Saints, Hinton completed only one pass for 9 yards. Matter of fact, he completed more passes to the New Orleans defense, as he ended the day with two interceptions. DiNucci at least was able to finish with his 180 yards and moved the sticks at times.

Jones is completely wrong here and there’s really nothing else to say. If anything, he owes DiNucci an apology for making him look so bad right now.
