Anthony Davis has agreed to an extension with the Lakers worth $190 million
A seven-time All-Star, Davis had a brilliant 2019-20 season with the Lakers. Playing alongside James for the first time, the 6-foot-10 Davis averaged 26.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest. With Davis’ brilliant play and James also playing out of this world, the Lakers went 52-19 during the regular season and captured the No. 1 seed for the Western Conference.
In the postseason, they had few issues, eventually taking down the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals to win their first title since 2010. Entering the season, the Lakers were considered a favorite to lift the trophy at the end of the year after the organization acquired Davis from the Pelicans in a blockbuster trade.
Davis didn’t disappoint whatsoever, making his presence felt throughout the year with his outstanding abilities both from the outside and inside the paint. Now, Davis has dreams of winning even more titles with the Lakers. Fortunately for him, he’ll also be able to smile knowing he’s $190 million richer as well.
