Le’Veon Bell wants to be the next athlete to fight Jake Paul
The Kansas City Chiefs running back could one day step into the ring for a match against a YouTuber.
Whether you consider it news or not, Jake Paul made headlines over the weekend for his bout against former NBA star Nate Robinson. While Robinson was best known for his small stature and ability to slam home a dunk, boxing was something he took up in retirement.
The YouTube star defeated Robinson by KO during the second round with two quick jabs to the face. Although adding to his frame, it looked like an unfair advantage for the 6-foot-1 Paul over the 5-foot-10 Robinson in a pound for pound action.
Paul certainly will be looking for another fight in the future. The question will be if he’ll face a legitimate boxing contender or another athlete just looking to sell tickets. If it’s the latter, Le’Veon Bell might ready to go a couple of rounds in the ring for the right price.
After a video of Bell training with boxing gloves on went around Twitter, the Kansas City Chiefs running back tweeted a response bad-mouthing Paul. Saying to “set it up” in the future, this could be another feat outside of the gridiron that keeps the former All-Pro runner relevant a little while longer.

Bell’s focus isn’t just on the gridiron
Earlier this week, Bell received backlash from multiple Twitter trolls after stating he would release a new album in the future. Meanwhile, the once top dual-threat player in football seems to have his attention elsewhere as Week 13 approaches.
Following his release from the New York Jets earlier this offseason, Bell signed with Kansas City in hopes of proving he could still be the productive player that torched the NFL in Pittsburgh. So far, his success has been limited despite multiple carries per game.
In five games with the Chiefs, Bell has collected 101 rushing yards off seven carries, 47 receiving yards off seven receptions and a touchdown. His contract will expire following the 2020 season.
Muhammad Ali was said to “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” during his days as the heavyweight champion. Bell once was a member of the “Killer B’s” while donning the black and yellow. Perhaps he was meant to box after all?
His 6-foot-1 frame might be better against Paul and since he’s actively training for football, this could be a match in favor of Bell. And honestly, anyone willing to step in the ring against Paul likely will be considered the favorite by both the committee and the fans.
