The thought of the Kansas City Chiefs potentially adding star wideout DeVonta Smith to their stacked offense should terrify the rest of the NFL.
Each week, the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes continue to dazzle on offense. Seriously, what in the world are defenses supposed to do to try and slow them down? It’s nearly an impossible task.
Whether it’s Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman or someone else, the playmakers Mahomes at his disposal are endless. But, what if this offense somehow found a way to get even more lethal through the air? What if they used their first-round pick next year on DeVonta Smith? Goodness, that would just be unreal for the defending Super Bowl champs.

Devonta Smith joining the Kansas City Chiefs offense would be too unfair
Smith went viral on Saturday night and rightfully so after he had a monster game in the win over LSU, highlighted by his unreal touchdown grab shown in the video above. The man is a freak of nature. Coaches all across the NFL are surely drooling about adding him to their offense.
With that said, imagine what Smith would be able to do if he were to catch balls from Mahomes. Smith and Hill on the field at the same time? That would be a dream scenario for Mahomes, while opposing defenses would need more than a prayer to prevent the Kansas City offense from catching fire each game.
With Smith in the Heisman running, he figures to be a high first-round pick in next year’s draft. If he somehow falls to Kansas City and they pull the trigger on selecting him, Mahomes may as well start preparing an MVP speech for the following year. Yup, that’s how amazing the Chiefs would be set up to look like.
