87. . 4-8. Previous: . Carolina Panthers. 21. team

A 0-2 start was followed by three straight wins for first-time NFL head coach Matt Rhule. But the Panthers have only prevailed once in once in their last seven outings and Carolina’s young defense has had its issues. It’s ironic because the team’s lone win during this 1-6 stretch was a shutout of the Lions. Running back Mike Davis has done his best in replacing injured Christian McCaffrey, totaling 833 yards from scrimmage and scoring five touchdowns.

. 5-7. Previous: . Chicago Bears. 20. team. 57

Mitch Trubisky would get the start for the second straight week as the Bears not only looked to end a five-game slide but sweep the Lions for the third consecutive year. Matt Nagy’s club owned a 30-20 lead with less than three minutes to play before Detroit strung together the final 14 points of the game to stun Chicago. After not allowing at least 30 points in any of their first 10 games, the Bears gave up 41 at Green Bay and 34 at home to the Lions.

42. . 5-6. Previous: . San Francisco 49ers. 19. team

The defending conference champions figure to have their hands full with the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills on Monday evening in a game that will be played in Arizona. When last we saw Kyle Shanahan’s club, they were harassing Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff and the Rams into four turnovers and coming away with a 23-20 victory at Los Angeles. San Francisco’s run defense has looked better in 2020 and entered Week 13 ranked 10th in the NFL.
